Located on the southern Sri Lankan coast, Indisch is an elegant colonial villa set within peaceful gardens. Impeccably decorated with dark wood furniture, the high ceilings, and airy rooms allow for plenty of light and a pleasant sea breeze that dances off the villa’s unique East Indies period pieces and contrasting modern artwork.

The five spacious double and twin bedrooms come complete with four-poster beds, air conditioning, and en suite bathrooms and are individually decorated with vintage furniture and curios that hark back to a bygone era.

The highlight is the expansive pool - an inviting escape from the midday heat - and its surrounding veranda where guests can enjoy a cooling drink looking out over the Indian Ocean. Access to the beach is only a few steps away through the tropical gardens, where the naturally protected cove allows for swimming and paddling.

Indisch prides itself on its cuisine; the chef prepares local dishes, modern south Asian and western dishes with equal aplomb. Enjoy fresh seafood caught right in the bay on which the villa sits, which is especially renowned for its succulent lobsters.

The onsite team of dedicated staff provides guests with everything they could need or want and service remains discreet. Indisch’s concierge can assist in arranging a variety of services including excursions and in-villa massages with a spa therapist.
